I actually went down to the police station last nite since the officer never called me back. I took down the two "leave premises" & made copies to take with me along with the letter he left me a week ago stating that he was going to turn me into the police for check fraud for a check he received from the state back in 2003 for assistance for the new concrete in the driveway ( he has a son in a wheelchair ). I paid for the driveway & as far as we were concerned (at the time) he owed me the money so he signed over the check & I deposited it into my account. If it were check fraud, why didn't he report it when he discovered that he never received the check for $1500.00 back then? I mean we are talking 2003 plus with the kind of money I had at the time, why did I need to perform check fraud for his $1500.00. Anyway, the officer that we spoke to made copies of everything, including the quit claim deed, and said he was going to put it into a file for a future civil suit, he said that he (Gary) cannot make me leave, no more than I can make him leave, the letter he left me about fraud is harassment, and that I am aloud to drive the car still since he cannot give me permission one day and then revoke it the next, we still live in the house together, he bought the car for me to drive, I have the paperwork that shows I traded my car in for the down payment, plus I carry the insurance that is being paid by me. The officer also stated that nothing has been filed with them, he did not know why I should have called Officer Stevens. This is twice now that I have went to the police station, they have been here once (about the car). He said also that even though we are not married since we have lived together long enough everything we purchased together after the move in, including the car, is considered community property. This is two officers that have told me this so far!? I am glad I can drive the car again, it has been tuff on my daughter having to share her car with me since we both started school and go at different times. Sorry to make this so long.
