What is the name of your state? PA

I filed my response and conterclaim with the local courthouse within the required 20 days.My counterclaim is for the illegal violations by the plaintiff,CACV of Colorodo. Is there a SOL for filing against their actions? Also, their lawyer contacted me and I gave him a written proposal to settle this debt.Should I deal with him or let this possible judgement proceed and have my day in court? Thanks.

In following up with my question, sholud I deal with the Plaintiffs lawyer. He has contacted me twice since I gave him a repay offer of the original debt minus the ridiculous fees they tacked on.He even said the Plaintiff will take off 1000.00 for their violations.Should I deal with him or should I let it go to court?

I am reposing the question I original posted to hopefully receive some advice.Thank you.

Maybe..

You might want to pop over to www.creditinfocenter.com and post your question in their "Is there a lawyer in the house" forum. But, IMHO, if the lawyer is willing to stipulate that they did violate your rights, it would seem to me that you probably have enough of a case against them to have the debt cleared completely, and all references removed from your credit report. I've heard that the original creditor is responsible for the actions of any collection agencies they sic on you, so you might have a case against them also.
