What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey

Are court officers of New Jersey allowed to levy accounts for more (even double) the amount owed by a creditor?

There is a particularly rude court officer that has applied a levy twice for the same account after the full amount was levied. They claim that they did not receive any information from the bank. The bank states they notified them.

Now on a separate account the SAME court officer put a levy from an account that was satisfied a week prior. Claims they did not receive any information from the creditor's lawyer. The lawyer says they sent the information and gave me the time and date.

Just curious if they are playing legal or not as the rude tone of the officer towards my friendly tone is very annoying.
