new jersey- I have just purchased a duplex which i have lived in for the past year and a half. Included in our contract was a tenancy addendum breifly listing our lease term and the other tenant. the other tenants lease continues into the fall. i would like the tenant to leave sooner. i plan to turn the house into a single family dwelling. by signing this addendum, do i waive my rights to remove the tenant?

NO you can ask the tenant and as long as the tenant is dumb enough to leave.... well you lucked out!

But if they dont... THEN the best way is to offer to pay ALL of their moving expenses, give them back ALL of their security, AND give them June's rent FREE, and I think any normal person would move out by June 30th.
