What is the name of your state?NY

My boyfriend was moving with his friend in the passanger seat of a uhaul when a car stopped short in front and they hit the car.My boyfriend seemed to be ok except for his knee which he hit on impact. he put in a claim and was in a pool not even a week before an Insurance company picked him up. Because UHAULs Insurance is in Arizona the doctors didn't want to deal with states so they appointed him to another physical theripst. By UHAULS Insurance he was required to go for Numerous MRI's and Numerous amounts of doctors visits. Then he went to sit down with both lawyers with the stenorapher and go through what happened, I forget what it's called something with an "s" anyway, everything was good. Then In the iddle of the case his lawyer send him a letter, saying "we are sorry to inform you we cannot handle your case anymore" Now, all the MRI places and the hospital is calling for their money, His Lawyer dropped the case. And when he gave the MRI Place his Lawyers number they said we have no records of that accident. Now my bf brought the case to someone else to sue now his lawyer. Can the lawyer do that?

Your post is rather vague but the lawyer dropped the case b/c he doesn't feel you have a strong case or one that will make any money. Yes, they can do that.
