I may not understand standard procedures.But somehow I feel something is wrong. Settled a Florida injury case first of April 2000. My attorney said I would have my money in aprox 60 days. Two months ago he said there was a mistake in the typing of the agreement and I had to sign papers again. I did sign them again. Two more months have gone by and yesterday he said that there was again an error in the papers and all must be signed again and he could not say when I would get the settlement for sure, and that it might be some time. I asked if it would be this year. He said he could not say? Only that it was up to opposing counsel. Is this normal?

I cannot speak to your specific case and do not know what the hang up is with it, but generally once a settlement, it should not take that long, and I as an attorney have withdrawn from settlements where defense tried to play delay games. Ask the attorney what is the problem and ask that he put it in writing. It not unreasonable generally to insist on a date certain.
