I originally posted this in the real estate catagory but was told by a member that I was in the wrong place. Hopefully this is the right one.

I purchased a motorcycle on ebay that didnt have a title. It was my understanding that getting a title wouldnt be a big deal but boy was I wrong. I purchased it from a guy who purchased it from a wrecker company. It was abandoned there for over two years but the wrecker company never did any paperwork to get the title. The wrecker company has sense gone out of business. Everyone I talk to tells me that the wrecker company is the only place that can get the title. What do I do?? I have already checked and it is not stolen. Its a 2002 bike but is worthless if I cant legally ride it. I live in Kentucky but the bike was purchased in Mississippi. There has to be a way to get a title for it. I was told that I had to get the wrecker company to fill out an affidavite of abandonment, contact the original owner and the finance company if it had a lien on it. But like I said the wrecker company is out of business and because of some newly past privacy act noone can tell me who the original owner is or if it has a lien. Please Help!!!!

Thanks
