My employer never sent me a W2 form. I contacted them, and they responded with telling me I was an independent contractor. However, i have a feeling they DID take taxes out. My payment is direct deposited on the 15th & 30th. I never received a check stub. However, each deposit is $372.33. By looking at this value, I can conclude taxes were taken out.

What can I do to get my W2? If for some reason no taxes were taken out, and I was an independent contractor, they would still need to send me a 1099, right?

thanks much

Were you really an independent contractor? Did you bill them? Did they issue a 1099? Read employment law sections on FreeAdvice.com?

Do you have copies of your checks? What do they say about taxes?
