What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois
I wasn't sure where else to ask this question, but at my place of business, which is owned/ managed by the City of Chicago, we have been without water for almost a week. They are allowing us to use the toilets, but we are not able to use the sinks for hand washing or for potable water. All filtered water, water fountains, coffee machines, etc. have also been disabled. We were informed that the water would be "temporarily" unavailable last Wednesday the 19th and have received no further information.
There has to be some workplace law that's being violated here, isn't there?? Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
