my wife and i live in a mobile home park in the los angeles area in california. we have neighbors right across from us that insist on allowing their teenage son to do his rock band practice with his friends, which comes pounding into our home. the management has been mad aware of this problem, which began july 2000. the last word from the management is that their legal department has sent the last of many notices to these folks outlining the result fo their continued noise nuisance. i was told by the manager that 1 more complaint against them would initiate a 60 day notice to vacate. today i filed that last complaint.
question: if the managers try to give these people another chance, what can i do on my own. do i go after the management company. any direction you can give would be greatly appreciated. i hope i was clear and to the point.
thank you

My response:

First of all, let's get something straight, right now. There is NO SUCH THING as a "trailer park" in Los Angeles. Trailer Parks exist only in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Kentucky. In Los Angeles, you only admit to living in a 3-bedroom home, 3,900 square feet, on a half acre of land, with a front lawn, a circular driveway, an Olympic size swimming pool, and tennis court. Okay ? You also own a Rolls Royce, a BMW, and a 1965 Chevy Impala lowrider (that you use for fun, and getting down in San Fernando).

Now, to answer your real issue, you can see your attorney about suing the landlord for Breach of Contract, Breach of the Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing, and for Injunction, and Damages. You can sue the neighbor for Nuisance and Injunction and Damages.

Good luck to you, and I don't want to read anything again about some imaginary trailer park in Los Angeles. It doesn't happen.

My response:

A "trailer park" by any other name, is still a "trailer park".

. . . and I'm sorry, XJudge, that the Northwest has gone to hell in a handbasket.

As you can see, I'm in serious "denial" and having a great difficulty with reality.

My response:

Same thing. If it was trucked in, and has axels under the skirt, then like I said, a horse is a horse is a horse. A rose by any other name, is still a rose. A trailer by any other name, is still a trailer.

And please, stop talking about these types of homes. They are for people with missing teeth, who have a 3rd Grade education, and who wear bib overalls with one strap hanging down, and who go around saying things like "Yup, Yup, where did they go, George".

Such monstrosities are nonexistent in Los Angeles, and are a complete fabrication of some weird scientist's warped mind, and are a Communist plot, i.e., they are a key problem in the dumbing down of America.

It's a well-known documented fact that most, if not all, trailer park inhabitants voted for Bush ! Can you believe it !

These types of "homes", if you really want to call them that, should be burned down because they are all a blight on the landscape of America.

So, my dear friend, in the final analysis, if you have a cement gutter running down the center of your street, yours then is a trailer home.

Judging by the responses I am getting from the site, I see that I have made a BIG mistake and fallen into an asp pit. (or ass pit) Judgement day is coming and the small minded will make the biggest fire!

My good man, no need for the language. If you read the second paragraph of IAAL's first response, he gave you a qualified legal answer to your question. As always, if you do not like the response you receive here, you have the option of paying a lawyer for what would most likely be the same answer.

And IAAL, we like to blame all the problems up here on all the Californians that are moving up here. But I must temper my response as my wife is originally from Pasadena. But revenge is coming, my twin daughters have decided to attend college at Pepperdine (my wife's alma mater).

You've got to "cool your jets" and laugh just a little bit. I was kidding around with you ! It was a spoof ! Geez, couldn't you tell ?

My, my, goodness. I'm glad I'm not THAT stodgy. Loosen up a little bit. It was a slow day here on the boards, and as XJudge pointed out, I did in fact answer your question, and was just playing around a little bit - - perhaps just to get a "rise" out of you, or others. Hey, it wasn't personal - - my writing was just for the humor value. No need to take it seriously. We don't know who you are, and I wasn't directing my humor at YOU - - rather, at "Trailers". Whew !

Manwell, "defender" of the dignity of "trailers" !

Have a nice day, Manwell.

My dear XJudge:

Californians who leave California are all Traitors to the cause. We must all stay here, and defend the mother State.

Pasadena is a beautiful community - - one of the shining stars of Southern California. Your wife obviously has expensive taste.

As for Pepperdine University, your daughters would be extremely hardpressed to find a finer college, and law school. To say that a "sheepskin" from Pepperdine has snob appeal, would be an understatement.

Perched high upon a bluff, this outstanding and beautiful school campus not only offers a first rate education, but has the unique ability to boast a Malibu ocean view that is incomparable - - for all of those contemplative moments - - and boy-watching !

I wish your daughters good luck, and your wallet too !

Surf's up !

I thought you told me there was indeed a 'trailer' park in CA? ..

'Well, in Central California, we've cordoned off a 25 square mile area. On the east side of the area, it's known as Little Kentucky. On the west side, it's called Little Arkansas. '

You know, I read up on this and found that the original 25 sq mile area is actually growing.. it is up to 42.5 sq miles now.. not long before it screams down I-5 and enters LA..

I can see it now.. IAAL is forced to take the Arkansas bar exams..
