After 7 weeks as an Executive Director for a day spa, I resigned effective immediatley. As a result, the HR dept has informed me that they are aware that the day before I quit, I "printed off and took home" a copy of their client list. I was told my pay would be withheld until I returned this information. I never took the information. Where do I go from here?

File a claim for unpaid wages with the state Dept. of Labor. The requirement to pay is a seperate issue from the allegation. Legally, your pay cannot be held for this or any other reason.
