What is the name of your state? FL
Can anyone give me a site to go to so I can find out what the standard rules are for non-custodial visitation of child. I'm particulary looking for whether or not non-custodial parent has first option to child when child is left with someone not related to child for a period of time by custodial parent. I know I have seen this somewhere on the internet but, for the life of me, I can't seem to find it now. Any help would be appreciated.

No, because there is no such site.

There are no rules or statutes outlining such rights. They are decided by the court.

And yes, first right of refusal is one of the points negotiated between the parties and the courts.

FL - BelizeBreeze - with all due respect, I believe you might be wrong. I know that I was in a site re: Florida Statutes and somewhere in there, there was an outline for visitation and child support guidelines. It stated that, unless the parties had an agreement or specifics were stated in the FJ, these were the rules that would be followed. I will continue to try to locate the site and, if I am not wrong and there is such a site, I will let you know. I hope I am right and I can find the site again. If not, I will certainly admit that I must have dreamed it up. Thanks for your response. I have read a lot of your responses and have a great deal of respect for you because you seem to want to help everyone to every extent possible.

Some state guidelines do include "right of first refusal". However, its still depends on the judge and whether or not the judge has ordered the parties to follow the guidelines.
