Hi, I am working part time as a loan officer. I filled out paperwork for employment with the broker who was operating as a net branch. The deal between the broker I was working for and the net branch fell through. Because of this I am owed around $1800. The broker has since verbally promised to pay me time and again. He has not. I am trying to give him one more shot but this is an issue of 3 months now. So, what am I to do? Can I file a lien on his primary residence? I know he is trying to sell it so I figured this could be really timely option. I would rather just be paid but do I have any recourse with a lien or anything else? Thanks in advance for your help.
