I am a born citizen of this country however, I was just speaking with my credit union and they informed me I do not qualify for a secured credit card because they only issue those to "non-resident aliens" in other words illegal immigrants. They said that I would have to apply and qualify for a credit card based on my credit report, job history and so on. I explained to her that I knew my credit wasn't that good and that I wouldn't qualify for a unsecured credit card and that's why I wanted a secured card. Isn't this a form of descrimination?
