Texas-I spoke to a local lawyer over the telephone. He agreed to review some contracts for me at a cost of 75.00. I immediately took a check into his office, which they promptly cashed. I also took in copies of the contracts on that date. That was 6 weeks ago. I didn't need him to do anything but read over them and give me some professional legal advice/opinions. I have called him four times and even sent him a registered letter. He simply will not respond to me at all. 75.00 may not seem like a lot, but, I might as well have taken that money and thrown it down the toilet. I am not a rich person and cannot afford to hire 2 or 3 lawyers to get some simple legal advice. Do I have any recourse against this man, or should I just drop it and consider it a lesson learned?
Thanks for any input.
