Noncompliance in N.J.

I have a restraining order since June of this year. Was notified this week by the courts of noncompliance By DVAC for Noncompliance and other noncompliance which would be addressing his drinking problem. Must go to court next week on this subject then the following week in court again for final custody support anc visitaion. How will his noncompliance have an effect towards custody and visitation? The courts took most of his time away when the restrainign order went into effect all but two hours once a week. Iam seeking sole legal and physical with visititation where as he is seeking joint legal and physical. The child is not of school age there is no real bond between them. He has never lived with us nor has he had overnights with the child.

I am going through a similar situation in Iowa. My soon to be ex husband has been in contempt of the no contact order SEVERAL times. He has only done 2 days in jail for the contempt. His visitation is supervised at the convienence of the ones doing the supervision. Anyway, from what I have seen, his actions have nothing to do with support and visitation issues. Hopefully you get a judge that is interested in your child's wellfare.

Good Luck.

His noncomliance is not attending the recommended therepy and AA sessions, as decided by the courts for domestic violence and harressment.

Went to court today he was able to bs the judge into a sort of postponement he feels the DV has it all wrong and instead of going to court ordered counsling for battery and alchol he is going to a private psychologist (he still has to make an appoointment) to have the expert say there is nothing wrong with him so he dosent' have to go to the court odered DV and alchol sessions. He has taken to leaving a message for days now not his voice same message, the judge ordered the phone company to put a tracer on all calls. He was present when this was ordered so he is aware that this is being done. Do ya think he will get the picture to knock off the harressment??????

I wish I could say that everything will be fine and he will stop the harrassment. So far, the only thing that has stopped my ex from calling and hanging up and coming to my house is jail. Sometimes they just don't get IT. I know it gets frustrating that he calls and harrasses you. And it's easier said than done to say don't let it get to you. I know one thing that keeps me going is this - I keep telling myself that he is not going to win. He is not going to have control over my life anymore.

Best of luck to you. I have to go to a contempt hearing on Wednesday, wish me luck.
