became involved w/non profit credit counselor in march 2001
problems from the beginning, in short we have had $500 per mo. payments debit from our checking account since march,
as of Juy 5, 2001 we have documentation of only one payment
disbursement from organization to our citibank and discover
creditors. it has been a nightmare, we made copies of all
email communications, to date of 50...do we have some
type of recourse...not only did we go into this program
current on all debt, but with liveable interest rates on
most...since being involved w/ nonprofit organization,we
average 4 calls per day every day from our creditors mentioned above,,,we are being charged late fees, overlinit fees, and the highest by law interest rates, adding up to
100-200 per month on ea card ..what do we do now?????

I understand!!

Hi! Read your post and it's almost an exact duplicate of the same situation I've found myself in...
So sorry to hear what you are going through....

Only thing with me is I managed to quit the Nonprofit as soon as I learned that any association with them immediately drops your credit rating as far as lenders go... I was trying to refi my house and that's how I discovered this unfortunate info... Even after I quit, I learned they were late on payments and as a result I was reported t the credit bureaus as delinquent... I now have bad credit where I had excellent credit before...

Please contact me if you find any help in this area and I'll surelly do the same for you as soon as I find out anything that can help...

This is something the public needs to know about for sure!!!
