I don't know if you can help me. I'm in Ontario Canada. My ex was in a car accident in which a man and wife were hurt, the man more seriously. He is recovering, but is suing for 3 million dollars more than what the insurance companies offers. He makes a very minimal wage and this is destroying him. He had a retired police officer represent him in court for his charge, and he pleaded guilty, the charge was dropped from careless to failing to yield to oncoming traffic. The insurance company covers a couple of million. Is it really possible that they can go after him personally? He is afraid of losing everything he owns. Please any advice would be appreciated.
