My Husband was found not guilty on 4 of 6 charges the four charges were what he originally went to trial for but somehow theses other two charges (which are the same charges) appeared and he was found guilty of thoses without his knowledge of them. We are confused by this and have and claimed double jeopardy and asked for a appeal. How do we explain this to our laywerand the appeal court.... they have made it so confusing for us please help. Where the two other charges which you claim to be the same charges based on a separate incident or circumstance?

What I am getting at is that someone can technically be charged with three separate charges of shoplifting for stealing apples, oranges and bananas.
