TX: Assault is defined by actions taken 'in a manner other than by the use of words. ' Is there any law against verbal assault? Specifically in a place of business or state-funded school?
My story is this: I go to the school gym to work out. Since it's the summer session the front desk operator tells me about the large fee I must pay. After about 2 minutes of inquiring about the fee, he gets extremely aggressive. Among other explicatives, he calls me a 'F***'n p**sy' for not just paying the fee without knowing why. Then he asks me to step outside to fight about it. I didn't let emotions get the best of me by turning down his offer, but I still wish to end his hostile practices, as well as defend a little of my dignity. I am pretty sure he is good friends with his boss. To make sure he is fired or at least disciplined, I want to be able to point to a law that, given a good lawyer, I would be able to sue the school if reasonable action isn't taken against him.
I realize there are other more pressing legal questions on this site, so thank you in advance for any serious, quick response...
