Back in 1987 my father was shot and killed by his wife ( my stepmother) supposedly self defense..my problem was this was in alabama I am in New york..I can not get any information as to what happened or anything..if there was a will..ect ect..I did get a copy of his death certificate which has about 15 discrepancies alone on it...I can not get any information as to what happened Police reports or anything as they tell me the case is not closed..it has been 14 years I would like to know what happened my step mom says there was no will however I do know her first husband was killed and she collected a heck of a settlement...so i can not picture them being that negligent..Can any help me get started I am just running in circles. This is not all about a will this is about I would like to know why my dads case is still open and why us children have no idea what happened..we were told she shot him in the leg severing an artery and he bled to death but the death certificate say gunshot to the head.Any help would be appreciated and if im on the wrong forum please let me know thank You
