i live in illinois and am handling my case pro se. if my spouse is in default because he did not respond to the petition for dissolution of marriage, do i have to notify him of the date for the hearing requesting a default judgement?

My response:

No. He's not a litigant. He gave up his rights to any form of Notice by virtue of his default. Once you get your orders, then you send him a copy.
