I have been informed that the developer of the property is erecting an 8 foot privacy fence behind my house, as part of a sale of those lots behind my house. The problem is that we live in a golfing community and this 8 foot privacy fence will destroy all views we have of the course. Also, the restrictive covenants only allow for a 6 foot fence. Can we stop this? Not only we we lose our right to a view, it will diminish our property values.

Yes, if it violates the restrictive covenants or a town ordinace you can get a court to stop it or have him take the fences down. A lawyer's letter should get the builder to reconsider....
