What is the name of your state? South Carolina

In order to be excepted into the nursing program we had to make an 80 on a health calculation course. The nursing handbook states we have to make an 80 on their health calculation test each sementer or be dismissed from the program. We are now being told that the grade on the Health calculations test will increase each semester. from 80 to 85 to 90 to 95. May question is this legal?? Can they up the score when all it took as an 80 to get the program. This score does not average into our GPA. Mind you they are teaching us this course over again.

Thanks,
Maggie 77

Then you should ace the test after the first time. More than likely somewhere in the fine print in the handbook is a statement giving them the right to amend policies etc.

Totally Legal. TRY STUDYING. I dont want a dumb nurse who cant get a simple 90 taking care of me.
There is no fine print in the handbook......And for the dumb nurse..most colleges do not require any math courses to become a nurse....so you need to watch out......maggie77
