What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ohio

I had applied to nursing school but I have a petty theft from 3 years ago it was only a misdemeanor and i paid all my fines and had no jail time. it was a very stupid thing i did when i was 18 and ive never done anything like that since. but now im worried if i go to nursing school what if i wont be able to work since i have a criminal record or is there any way i can do anything to have it taken off?

You would be extremely lucky to get the crime (minor as it was) removed from your record.

Your best option would be to explain it fully to anyone that questions it during the application process. You might be surprised at how receptive they are when you remain truthful and honest. I guarantee you will not be the first nurse with a misdemeanor on their record, I wouldn't sweat it ;)
