What is the name of your state? NC

My husbands case is in NY. So, I am to understand that if it isn't written, it doesn't apply?

His case was that he simply could not afford to send he to the school that she had chosen.
The other part was being told after the fact that it was a done deal..The Judge is making him pay support & college. His day again to try to get this worked out is tomorrow but I'm worried, can't afford an attorney and he is not very good at expressing himself.

As an example, if I go and buy a shiney new Lexus for my daughter, I don't discuss or have a written agreement with my ex, can I honestly expect him to pay for it???The Judge would laugh me out of there!

I think its possible that your husband may not have done what he needed to do to fight the order to pay college expenses. Was he present at the hearing? At least telephonically if not in person?

Parental Advocates

I have discovered a few things about the area of NY that this case is in..

First that Judge is biased for some reason...another member of my husbands family went in to get her ex to help pay for college...Judge stated that college was not a necessity and ruled against her. This person is a single mother with very low wages. My husbands ex makes great money....my husband does not...something is way off on this one.

Anyway, found a group Parental Advocates...Not sure how this will go but something smells like a dead fish here...We are going to find out where that smell is coming from!
