Is there a specific law in NYC which specifies obligation to maintain. We want to repave our driveway and half of it belongs to the neighboring lot (currently being built on) which we have an easement for. Do we need to ask the owner of land which the easement runs for permission to do this even though it is our driveway and half of it is our property. We are the only ones that use and benefit from this driveway as it leads to our garage which is solely on our property>
