I need advise. I went to a salon for a haircut. I explained that i was a little nervous due to bad haircuts in the past. The owner explained that I had nothing to worry about in his shop. My hair got washed, then i sat in the owner's chair. I told him my main concern was my bangs to be corrected. He proceeded to cut them, no problem Then he went on to explain that the only haircut he would give me would be to cut my hair to chin-length. I told him i wasn;t ready to do that yet. He told me that "you can walk around with your bad clothes, bad haircut, and he's not putting his name on my hair". He then had another girl in the salon blow dry my hair. While sitting there, I realized what the Owner had said to me and began crying. When my hair was dry, he came back over to me to finish cutting my bangs. I informed him that i didn't want him to touch me and that i was highly insulted by his remarks. He replied"you have psycological problems" and walked away. The other employees that heard him were apologizing profusly. I proceeded to pay $42.00 for the "haircut. Normally a haircut costs $35.00 so when i arrived home, the owner's wife called me. She told me that I must've misunderstood what he said to me. I proceeded to tell her that while that might have been possible with the first remark, the one about psycological problems was quite clear to me. She told me that they normally don't give refunds but she would speak to hear husban. I have't heard from her so my question is:
can i sue for my money back and the humiliation and embarassment he caused me due to the fact that other customers and employees heard what he said to me?
