Dear Question:

I lived in Georgia for 12 years and have a friend who is a magistrate there.

Go to your local magistrate judges office. The fee is $50 to $60. The judge or magistrate will issue an order of protection and the local law enforcement will serve it to the person. It's very simple procedure and usually only takes a day or two to have person served.

Good luck to you!
