I was driving in the rain down a county road when my car fished tailed ran off the road, went down a ditch and landed on its side. No one was hurt and there were no other cars invovled. I left the scene and went back in to town to get some help from a friend, we got back out to where my Jeep was and decided that it would be better to call a tow truck then to try to get the Jeep out by ourselves. I went home and called around to a couple of tow truck places and none them could help me until the next day. So I scheduled an appoinment with one for the next morning. When the tow truck driver and I got back to my Jeep their was a state patrolmen there. I got cited for Failing to Report Accident to Police, and Careless Driving. I did not feel the need to call the police because: 1. My car was at least several miles to the nearest paved road. 2. Even though the Jeep was on it's side there was little damage 3. There were no injuries. 4. No other cars were invovled. 5. There was no property damage. 6. I was not driving fast when this occured..

I was wondering if I tried to get the tickets dropped would I have a case in court?

This took place in Alamosa, Colorado in Alamosa County

If you could e-mail me back that would be great...

Thanks

Terry
