Well, my grandmother, of whom I've been a care-taker for about 12 years now, passed today with me at her side.

I called kiddo's dad to let him know in case she had questions and such and he was half-decent until he started pushing stuff about our upcoming court date and what he would be putting papers in for after it. And now I wonder if folks who didn't understand do now. It's not about the child or anyone else, but him.

But kiddo and I are remembering a lovely 91 year old lady who had a hell of a fight in her and who got to know her great-grand daughter because I made the choice to leave Dad. And I am happy with that choice. We will deeply miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss...Time with a loved one is never enough...but I am glad you and your little one were able to spend so much with this lovely lady.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm sorry too the world keeps on spinning with people's selfish desires in the midst of such loss.

I also offer you my sympathy. But I am also proud of/impressed by you, for taking care of your grandmother for a dozen years. :) Those memories are priceless.

Thank you all and sorry for my bitterness within my post. It's hard not to be angry with Dad at this time. But I am not going to let him control me now. It is my family's time to grieve and remember, not his time to take that away.

I'm sorry for your loss, breezy. I'm glad you got to be with her at the end. I'm sure you gave her great comfort. It's not surprising that your ex used this time to make it all about himself. It's how they are. Self centered at all times.

I'm sorry to hear your loss. :(
But, still you did well. Your did great for unselfishly taking care of her through all those years.

Your a far better person than I. My mother in law lived with us for a year until I couldn't put up with it anymore and made my wife find somewhere else for her to live.
