What is the name of your state? Ohio

I've checked the Ohio garnishment information on http://www.locate123.com/StateLaws.asp a couple of times. Can you help clear something up for me?

My wages were garnished each paycheck (2x/month) to the tune of over $1300/month. Thankfully it's over with and my creditor is paid off.

However, according to that website, I should have only been garnished 1x/month. Is there another site I can check to verify the 1x/month information?

If this is true, and my employer should have only taken money out of one check, do I have any recourse if they screwed up since this was a HUGE hardship for my family? My division is being sold so I wouldn't have an issue going after them if I have a case.

Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Straight out of the OH Statutes:
http://onlinedocs.andersonpublishing.com/oh/lpExt.dll?f=templates&fn=main-h.htm&cp=PORC

"[§ 2716.04.1] § 2716.041. Continuous order of garnishment of personal earnings; stacking; priority and manner of payment.

(B) Except as otherwise provided in this section, an order of garnishment of personal earnings shall be a continuous order that requires the garnishee to withhold a specified amount calculated each pay period at the statutory percentage from the judgment debtor's personal disposable earnings during each pay period of the judgment debtor commencing with the first full pay period beginning after the garnishee receives the order until the judgment in favor of the judgment creditor and the associated court costs, judgment interest, and, if applicable, prejudgment interest awarded to the judgment creditor have been paid in full. "

They can get you ever pay period.
