What is the name of your state? Ohio

If we agree on joint physical custody of our children, does that mean we have to go by the courts schedule....every other week, or week by week?, Or can we make our own crazy schedule by how we work, which may, or my not end up being exactly 50/50?
Basically what I'm asking is**************Is that schedule just for the courts? or do we have to follow it exactly?
We both love our children equally, and are trying to keep them out of this as much as possible, as well as trying to help each other out financially. We just don't want to screw one another, because our boys deserve a mother, and a father who can take care of them equally.

You can come up with ANY schedule you want if it works for the two of you and you BOTH agree to it. The standard orders every county has are for if you cannot agree.
Bur realize that you want to keep the children first in mind when you create the schedule.
