What is the name of your state? Oklahoma
I went for an oil change, but the facility did not put new oil in my Nissan Van. Fault has been accepted by the facility. I was from Atlanta at the time and I told the manager of the facility that I had to get home. He made arrangements with a rental company for a mini van that I could go back to Atlanta in. The arrangement included the optional insurance. Of course, I had to provide the credit card because at this point, it had not been decided if the claim would be handled in house or turned over to insurance. It was turned over to insurance after several days and after about two weeks I was told that the insurance on the rental was not a covered item. However, the claims adjuster for the insurance company had told me that the insurance would be covered up to a certain date because the manager had arranged it. I was told that I would need to return the van and have the rental contract switched over to the insurance company billing and that my auto insurance would have to cover the insurance on the rental after that. I did what I was asked to do but the rental company tells me that I will be billed approx $700 for insurance up to the point the new contract was started. The manager now does not recall authorizing the insurance even though the Hertz employees do. Do I have grounds in OK to get this money back? And if so, do I go after the insurance company, the oil change facility or the manager? Thanks in advance!
