What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NM
Divorced in Mich almost 20 years ago. Enterered into personal contract 2 years later with my ex-spouse outside of the court modifying terms of divorce decree including alimony in exchange for large amount of cash (the IRS was after her for non-payment of taxes). Terms of the modified contract have been complied with. Considering the time lapse what are the chances of my ex-spouse prevailing in a judgement for some as yet undisclosed reason in an attempt to overturn the contract. Are we assuming that the modification was NOT done through the courts? And the original decree is the only court order?
