What is the name of your state? AZ
I have an old stock certificate that has no signature, date, # of shares, or owner's name. It reads: Capital Stock $250,000, $100 per share. It has a certificate number but no CUSIP because it was issued before CUSIP existed.
The company is now owned by a multi billion dollar corporation. Would the certificate have any value now even though it is blank?

What is the name and city state of the company that owns it now?

Does it show the stock symbol (abbreviation to reflect name of company)?

Why do you have the certificate in your possession and who did it really belong to?

You can check on the status with the company that you say owns it now or there are other services on the web that will do the research for you to see if it is currently valid or not.

Ignore 'Dandy Dunce'. His 'normal' habit is to ask ridiculous questions that have no bearing on the subject.

Very unlikely. The problem is, the certificate you have appears to have never been issued. As such, it is without any value..... and could have been printed up by anyone.....

It was bought as part of the estate sale of the original owner of the company.
How can you tell whether it was issued or not? It does have a certificate number on it.
I have contacted the director of investments at the current company, and am waiting for a reply.
Would the certificate have had to be signed by the secretary and president to be valid?

Ignore JETX, since her only mission in life is posting her rude and unneeded comments to my postings, and now she has given an opinion without knowing ALL of the facts.
