a friend and i were evicted a couple of years ago. at the time we were in a difficult situation and ending up leaving without paying the landlord any of the remaining balance.
i live in Ohio. needless to say, the eviction is listed as a judgement on my credit report and it is very difficult to rent from anyone(reputable that is).
we are both finacially stable and are wanting to put this in the past.
does the judgement have to stay on there for an indefinate period? are we able to make a settlement with the landlord(if he agrees)? or is the entire amount owed?

It really is a logical answer.....

If the judgement is on your credit report, then settling for less then the FULL amount will also be on the credit report.

You have to make sure the FULL payment is noted on the report as paid in full.
