What is the name of your state? Vermont... In an old child support order it claims my ex is suppose to pay half of all medical expenses not covered by insurance my husband covered for my daughter through his work. I did not realize when I got my credit report there was still 4000 more owed. Does he owe for half? My daughter is now 21. We no longer have insurance to pay this amount owed and wonder if he is still obligated to pay half. I am now working out payment plan with hospital. But wondering what my ex's responsibility is on this still? Thanks Faith

did you have insurance at the time of the bills? is this non covered items? or items that weren't processed correctly?

I'm not sure of the timing of the hospitalization versus now versus the CO, but I'm sure there's a time limit on how long you have to send unreimbursed, out-of-pocket invoices to the child's father. Is there any language in the order?

How long ago was the unpaid bills incurred?

Did you send the required papers to the father for payment at the time the bills were incurred?
