What is the name of your state? CA

In May of 2000 I got a parking ticket (bus zone). I traded the car in the next month.

The other day I got a notice from the country for the ticket. However since I dont own that car anymore I shouldn't worry about it right?

If you ignore it, you could find youself subject to Collections. The least you should do is contact the agency that sent you the notice and advise them you don't have the car any more. Chances are they will still hold you liable for the fine anyway.

If you do not care about having a credit rating or paying an additional $250 to $500 on top of the fine, then you can ignore it.
