Three years ago my son recieved a 2 1/2
year sentence for agg.assault and
probation violation.He was also charged
with THEFT by TAKING at about the same
time for a gun used in the assault
charge. The theft warrent has been on
hold by the county where charged for 2
1/2 yrs.He faces this theft charge when
he is released from prison in 2
months. Is this still a valid warrent
after all this time?It could have been
taken care of at the same time as the
other conviction(assault),but has been
deliberately held on to by the county
where issued. He has a 'hold' on him by
this county ,to be handed to them ,upon
his release date.I thought a probable
cause warrent was invalvid after a
length of time.I need an answer soon
.THANKS

If these charges are truly part of the same offence for which he's been convicted, that would be double jeapordy and the end of it.
