What is the name of your state? Pennsylvannia

Omnipresent, Inc
4532 W. Kennedy Blvd. #303
Tampa FL 33609

There is the business information, now for what is happening

In January I was called by this company and was told that I had won a free diamond watch, and would be able to recieve 4 free magazines for the price of one subscription of 48 months and that begining in february I would be billed monthly to pay off the one subscription. It has been almost three months and they just made a transaction on my account with out any bill being sent to my house, and I have yet to recieve the Watch or magazines I called them today and they seemed to be giving me a run around story that they had to wait to send me all the magazines due to magazine companies preprinting address labels and now i will have to wait 60 to 90 more days before recieving any magazines. I have seen on here that other people have had problems with the service and wanted to know if i dispute the charges would they be in the right to say I owe them alot of money when I cancel my services with them?

Just dispute it with your credit card company, stating that you haven't received what you've paid for, and move on.

Pssssst. You don't need to buy magazine subscriptions from a company that you just won a prize from.

The only reason companies like Omipresent exist, is because people fall for their tactics, over.. and over again.

People who take them up on it are the problem. If it sounds too good to be true.. use your head for a minute.

Just be grateful you weren't suckered into something that would have cost you much much more money to a real scam artist. They are looking for people just like you.

Sorry.

Omnipresent

Well, seems as if there are a whole lot of people with this problem. The same thing happened to me just yesterday!

I got a call around 11:30 on my CELL PHONE and I was at the dentist so I didn't answer. They called me again around 1:30 and I answered this time. A man told me that I had been selected to be in a 1 million dollar drawing to take place on December 31. I asked him "Where are you calling from?" "Tampa, Florida" "Why did I win" "For being in goodstanding with your Visa card" "Okay" "For being selected you have won a men's or lady's designer watch and 3 magazines" "awesome! And this is free?" "absolutely free!" He then asked me to choose between 3 and 4 magazines and I chose Rolling Stone. I was told that this would cost me $3 a week for 48 months. That adds up to be more than $600! I said I did not want to pay for that and if I could just get everythin else rather than Rolling Stone. He said "No, we are a complany how would we make any money that way?" I am not to quick on the comback and I just said "Right right" The man went on to verify my name and address. Since he said nothing about how I would pay for that I didn't mention it again. He told me his boss would call me back to talk to me again. I said "This order isn't placed yet right?" "Right"

A little while later the 'boss' called me back and said "I have to verify your information again since ***** is new to our company" (***** was the man I talked to earlier.) So we went through the information again. He then said that I had to confirm my card number. I figured confirmed meant that they already had it. He asked me what the expiration date on my card was and if it was a Visa Mastercard or Discover. I said it was a Visa and told him the expiration date. He said "And the 16 digit number begins with a 48 correct?" "Yes, sir" "Okay, could you read me the rest of your number" So I did...stupid me. He then went on to say that I would be billed something like $65.22 12 times. And I said no I didnt want to pay anything. "Why not?" "I cant afford it" "yes you can" "No I cannot and I dont want to pay anything" The conversation went on like this for probably 10-15 minutes! I was at work and VERY VERY annoyed. Then the phone started breaking up. WONDERFUL! The 'boss' couldnt hear me and kept saying, "so you accept" "NO" "okay then, you accept?" "NO!!" "Good! So you'll do it?" I was so annoyed at this point I just said "Yes! Ill do it, I have to go!" What an idiot... But after that I asked to leave work and went straight to my bank, I cancelled my card and got a new one. So they can't get any money even if they wanted to.

I was sure it was a scam and put the phone number they called from into Yahoo's Find a Person database. I got a name back of Sergio and Lourdes Diaz. The number they called from was 1 (813) 885-7057. Sergio and Lourdes Diaz are definitely NOT Omnipresent Inc. So this just HAS to be some sort of a scam! I called the police today and they said they would look into it and get back to me tomorrow.

Just hang up if anyone calls you and says they are from Omnipresent! It IS NOT REAL!

These people call my cell phone all the time! I usually do not answer unless I know who it is or am expecting a call. When I am feeling like a pest, I will answer it, let them go through the whole spill. We usually end up arguing because I do not read magazines, so usually they ask if I have children because they would love this or that magazine. Generally, I let them think they have it in the bag until they ask for my CC number. My response then is I do not give my credit card number over the phone, give me a number where I can call you back or send me the info in the mail. That usually gets them off the phone.

Another scam going around is getting a call stating you have won a free vacation by using your Visa card today, and then they try to sell magazines. Just beware, I never give my card number out over the phone, especially when there is no number to call them back at!
