If the judge rules in his favor, can I appeal the decision. I wasn't able to speak any more at the hearing....

Since you didn't tell us where you are (see the RED text at the top of the screen???) my answer is generic.

Most Small Claims courts are considered lower courts. As such, most SC judgments can be appealed by notice to the higher county court. This will require a new filing fee and possibly a bond and jury charge. Contact your local court staff, they should be able to help.
