I recently printed up all 3 of my credit reports, and I am planning to write a few dispute letters. For some reason, it does not show me the entire acct. # on ANY of my accounts. Why is this? And how do I obtain these for reference in the letters? Thanks for any help...

Unfortunatly I am in a situation where anything that's more than a year old, I don't have documentation anymore. I'm sure it's all long been destroyed. That is why I decided to check my credit report in the first place. Is there any other way I could possibly get them? Maybe by writing to the Credit Bureau with proof of identity?

They block out parts of the account numbers for YOUR protection against ID theft. Call the credit bureaus and ask them what the full account number is .. its that simple - once you prove who you are.
