What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I'm in California, the hired professional is in Florida.
I hired a fitness coach to help me prep for a fitness competition. The fee was $800 for a full year of coaching which meant weekly check ins, meal plans and workout plans. He only sent me my first week of plans, I then continued to send my weekly check ins. I did not hear from him after the first week. Got a reply the 2nd week. Then never heard back from him on my emails for the other 4 weeks after that. I then sent emails requesting a refund. He ignored those. Only when I threatened legal action did he reply and that was in feb. He said he would look into sending me a partial refund, but again I have sent 2 more emails and text messages and have not gotten a reply. What are my options for filing anything against him to get any portion of my $800 back since he did not uphold his services? I considered reporting to BBB as I don't believe he is a licensed business nor pays taxes on his income from it, and I thought of reporting to FTC. Any advice is appreciated.
