My son had been playing Ultima Online. His account(s) was/were hacked. He was terminated with the loss of his accounts which involved a real world $ loss. We asked to review logs and were told that there were multiple violations in the hundreds for one day, but without being given specifics or an appeal process. Implicit in the original contract was the acknowledgement of exploitable "bugs" in the system. Company refuses to reply to E-Mails. We are sure of our ground, would perhaps sue to recover, but can't find anyone to give a preliminary opinion, or find out if there is applicable law.

Many of these games are supposed to honor their users' winnings. Which means they are supposed to pay out. BUt to ensure this in relation to your State, check with an internet/intellectual property attorney at http://www.attorneypages.com.
