undefinedWhat is the name of your state?
New York.

I would like to set up a commercial website to list items for drawing - not necessarily for NY only.

cars, homes, anything that people want to sell off allowing for buyers the potential to win a drawing.

revenue to us would be a percentage of the value of the transaction from the seller.

is this legal - what should I be concerned with?

thanks.

**A: you should be concerned with reading and understanding the lottery and gambling laws for all 50 states.............

What happens if only five tickets sell for $10 each on a car worth $5000, and the seller won't accept $50, minus your fee?

Too tricky to even consider this. Too much liability. What would you do if the ticket drawn belonged to a 20-year-old in Nevada? The gambling age is 21. What happens if you unknowngly sell to a minor? What about states that don't allow gambling, or this type?

If you proceed, don't you dare think of going forward without a very good attorney by your side.
