What is the name of your state? CA

I want to open a billiards bar in Orange county, CA and I was hoping to have about 3-4 poker tables in the back. I've been searching all over the internet for information about poker tables inside a bar, but I've been unable to find anything. My question is, where would I find the information about obtaining a gaming license in my area, or if one is even needed? Thank you in advance.

Typical response to someone that wants to start a business:

Get a job in the industry. Learn everything about it from top to bottom

Work at it at at least 4 more years. You will never learn everything.

Start your business base on what you have learn. Also realize that half of all small businesses fail within the first 2 years and 90 percent within 5 years. Good luck.

unless you are getting an indian tribe to oversee/partner with your establishment, poker table idea will most probably not fly with state as it steps into gambling arena.

if this is not going to be "for money" poker game, why bother ? Vegas is just 4 hours away and real poker addicts will not mind the drive.
