nc: i am a small biz owner and have an employee who has been a financial drain. he/she is far below sales goals, but has determination and potential. i think in the long term he/she could be an excellent employee. However, it is frustrating to write checks for salary, healthcare benefits and taxes each month when this person has made insignificant sales contributions. I would like to give him/her a chance, but financially, what am I able to do legally to reduce the finanical burden i.e. lower salary, lower commission, take away healthcare benefits...
