What is the name of your state? CA
During wage negotiations, a phone message was left indicating a specific wage increase. Fairly soon after, another wage was offered (lower than the orally offered figure)in writing, which was signed by all parties. Is the oral offer legally binding?

Even if by some miracle of Divine Intervention an oral 'offer' rises to the level of a valid contract under California law (and I know the legislature isn't smoking dope on this one), your own words preclude the 'offer' being valid.

Remember that statment? The validity of the oral offer is now moot.

And by the way, oral offers are not contracts. Just for future information "GET IT IN WRITING"
