New York/Connecticut let's start with some backstory. my boyfriend was previously in jail and got put on probation for 5 years in New York and Connecticut ( Currently resides in CT), he got into some trouble so he ended up getting probation violation on top of the new case he's facing. we ended up going to jail to bond him out for 2 warrants he had in CT and he had court the next day. after getting a continuance at court the guards come over to him because they thought he didnt handle the bond issues and it was still out he explained that we took care of it from the night before but they took him with them till they could get proof. although they found that he did pay the CT bonds they find out he now has a new warrant in NY for the same probation violation and there is a order of incarceration/detainer to hold him until new york comes to get him. But the cops in NY can't come get him until his cases in CT are closed. Does this mean he's free to get release upon the 30 days from his arrest or he has to still stay in jail till his cases in CT are closed the detainers 30 days start from that date?
